Abstract

Nextcloud is an on-premises, free software alternative to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 that puts user data back into the hands of the people. Whether it be getting a handle on your photos, your budget, or your recipe collection, Nextcloud is your one-stop solution for de-Googling your digital life. But as much as the app ecosystem may have grown since Nextcloud was founded in 2016, it is impossible to cover the unique needs of every single user. That is why Nextcloud offers you the basics upon which you can build your own app. In this workshop, we will demonstrate how you can quickly get started developing your first Nextcloud app.
